Jim Beam Warehouse Fire Destroys Thousands Of Barrels Of Bourbon

(Woodford County, KY) - Firefighters are battling a large fire at a Jim Beam warehouse in Kentucky.

The fire at the Jim Beam aging warehouse in Woodford County started late Tuesday night. The facility is on McCracken Pike near the Franklin County line.

Woodford County Emergency Management officials say one warehouse caught fire, with flames spreading to the second building. The blaze may have been sparked by lightning.

Officials estimate 45,000 barrels of bourbon were in the warehouse that initially caught fire.

There are no reports of injuries.
