Louisville Metro Council Vote On Budget Proposal

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville Metro Council will look at a budget amended from Mayor Greg Fischer's original proposal on Tuesday.

The budget forwarded by the budget committee last week will allow LMPD to have its recruit class start in February of 2020 instead of March.

The budget also gives the library system an increase to restore full library hours and potentially fund the Middletown Branch.

The budget also funds the opening of Sun Valley and Algonquin pools next summer, despite coming up with about $25 million in savings.
