(Louisville, KY) - An ordinance that would make small amounts of marijuana one of the lowest priorities for Louisville Metro Police is being passed by a committee.

The Louisville Metro Council's Public Safety Committee passed the ordinance Wednesday.

The ordinance wouldn't change Kentucky law, which classifies marijuana possession as a Class B misdemeanor. It will go before the full Metro Council next Tuesday.
