Gov. Bevin Revises Pension Bill In Hopes Of Winning Needed Votes

(Frankfort, KY) - Governor Matt Bevin is making changes to a proposed pension bill in an effort to get needed votes for an upcoming special session.

Bevin sent a letter to all 138 state legislators Wednesday outlining the four changes made.

The governor's letter says the changes were made in response to issues raised by lawmakers.

Bevin wants to call a special session to pass the bill before a July 1st deadline. Meeting the deadline will give relief to agencies facing huge increases in their pension costs.
