(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin says he intends to call a special legislative session after vetoing a pension bill.

The bill was aimed at providing relief for some state-funded agencies struggling with growing retirement payments.

Bevin says he will call the special session before July 1st to provide lawmakers with another opportunity to address the issue.

Because the measure was passed on the last day of the year's regular session, lawmakers can't override Bevin's veto.
