Man Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting Outside Police Station

BROWNSTOWN, Ind. -- Police in southern Indiana shot and killed a man outside a police station today.

State police say officers with the Brownstown Police Department in Jackson County confronted a couple having a domestic altercation outside the station.

They tried to arrest the man, 53-year-old Barry Rucker, but he allegedly resisted and pulled out a gun. Two officers shot and killed him.

The officers and the woman involved in the altercation were not hurt.
