ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- A large fire destroyed a hotel in Elizabethtown Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the Cardinal Inn on East Dixie Avenue, where they found a large fire that quickly spread throughout the two-story hotel.
Elizabethtown Fire officials say there were no injuries.
Because of the extent of the fire, it's likely the hotel was destroyed.
The origin and cause of the fire are unknown.
