(Louisville, KY) - Mayor Greg Fischer's campaign for his tax increase plan continues.
Fischer and LMPD Chief Steve Conrad visited a police recruit class Tuesday to point out how budget cuts could impact public safety.
Fischer wants to increase taxes on many types on insurance to fill a huge budget gap created by pension increases over the next four years.
Fischer and Conrad say if the tax increase isn't passed, progress made against a record number of murders and the opioid epidemic could lose ground.
