LMPD Chief Expresses Concerns About Proposed Cuts

(Louisville, KY) - LMPD Chief Steve Conrad is expressing concern about the potential for $17 million in cuts to his department. The potential cuts could include getting rid of new recruits and slashing staff by 150 officers.

Conrad told Metro Council yesterday solutions have to be found to support the men and women who protect the community. The cuts are part of a proposal to cover the city's $65 million budget gap over the next four years.Copyright © 2019 TTWN Media Networks LLC
