Missing Armored Truck Driver Arrested In Connecticut

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville armored truck driver suspected of stealing thousands of dollars is now in custody.

The FBI Louisville field office says 29 year old Mark Espinosa was arrested in a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut on a federal warrant. Espinosa had been missing since December 5 when he allegedly took thousands of dollars from a Garda armored truck outside Jefferson Mall. The FBI was aware Espinosa had ties to the New Britain, Connecticut area which is near where he was arrested. It is unclear when Espinosa will be brought back to Kentucky to answer to the charge of Theft From Interstate Shipment.

A spokesman for LMPD says they are sending detectives to Connecticut to speak with Espinosa.
