Governor Bevin Calls Canceling School Due To Cold 'Soft'

(Louisville, KY) - Governor Matt Bevin isn't a fan of canceling school due to the cold weather.

Jefferson County Public Schools and most other districts have canceled classes Wednesday due to dangerously cold wind chills.

While appearing on NewsRadio 840 WHAS Radio's Terry Meiners Show Tuesday, Bevin said America is getting soft.

He later said he it was better to "err on the side of the safe" and was being "slightly facetious."
