(Louisville, KY) - Jefferson County Public Schools is taking steps to address bullying and suicide.
During a news conference Thursday superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio said JCPS is organizing a summit on suicide prevention that will involve superintendents from across the commonwealth.
He also said he wants more staff to review bullying complaints and use new technology that will make it easier to report problems.
The announcement came days after JCPS fifth-grader Seven Bridges took his own life, apparently due to bullying.
