FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Governor Bevin is shaking up his re-election ticket.
Bevin has named state Senator Ralph Alvarado as his running mate in the 2019 gubernatorial race.
Alvarado, a Winchester Republican, is a doctor and the son of immigrants.
He replaces Jenean Hampton, whom Bevin called "an extraordinary lieutenant governor."
Bevin has at least one opponent in the Republican gubernatorial primary, state Representative Robert Goforth.
