Hardin County Dispatcher Charged with Sex Crimes

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- A 911 dispatcher in Hardin County has been charged with over 150 sex crimes.

The attorney general's office says 20-year-old Christopher James Carroll created multiple fake social media profiles in an effort to trick minors into sending him nude photos.  

Carroll is charged with using a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, using a minor under the age of 18 in a sexual performance, possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance, harassing communications and stalking.   

Prosecutors say Carroll worked as a dispatcher at the Hardin County E-911 Center.

He's being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
