Anti-Smoking Advocates Tout New Cigarette Tax Poll

(Indianapolis, IN) - The folks who want to see people in Indiana smoke less say their new poll shows a lot of support for a new cigarette tax increase.

Tobacco Free Indiana says their poll shows 70 percent of people in the state are okay with a two-dollar-per-pack cigarette tax increase.

Right now, Indiana smokers pay just under a dollar-per-pack in taxes.

Lawmakers are expected to introduce a cigarette tax hike plan in the coming days.
