LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville Police say a man who was fatally shot by officers was armed with a shotgun and fired multiple times toward the officers.
LMPD released body camera video of the incident that happened Wednesday night outside a home on Mary Dell Lane in Fern Creek. Officers had gone there on a report of domestic violence.
35-year-old Benjamin Kennedy allegedly fired at arriving officers. Several minutes later he was fatally shot after refusing orders to drop the gun.
Officers Dallas Constant and William Mattingly were not injured during the incident.
