California's Public Utilities Commission confirmed to ABC News Monday that it is investigating whether electrical malfunctions reported by Pacific Gas and Electric, in Northern California, and Southern California Edison, in Los Angeles, could have contributed to or caused both big fires burning in this state. 

PG&E filed an incident report about an outage on a transmission line right around the time the deadly Camp Fire broke out.
