Injuries Reported In Accident Involving JCPS School Bus

(Louisville, KY) - Several students have been injured and transported to the hospital Friday morning following a Jefferson County School bus wreck.

The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Taylor Blvd. at Bluegrass Ave.

Seven students were transported to Norton’s Children’s Hospital and three were transported to Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in St. Matthews. The bus driver was transported to Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. There were no other injuries reported.

LMPD says their preliminary investigation reveals that the driver of a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn from eastbound Bluegrass Ave onto north bound Taylor Blvd lost control of the vehicle, and struck the school bus who was stopped at the traffic light southbound on Taylor Blvd.
