Schnatter Denies Directing Racial Slur At Anyone Specific

(Willmington, DE) - Papa John's founder is saying he never directed a racial slur at anyone specifically.

John Schnatter appeared in a Delaware courtroom Monday, where he blamed the press for allegedly making him appear to be a racist.

However, attorneys played a four-second video clip where Schnatter used the n-word as a reference to Kanye West.

In a report, he said KFC never faced backlash after Colonel Sanders used the n-word.

Schnatter said he used the word because he wanted to make a point that it's not what the company was about, and claims his comments were anti-racist.

Schnatter wants the court to compel Papa John's to release documents that may show why he was fired from the company this summer.
