Coach Stoops Gives Game-Winning Ball To Marco Shemwell's Family

(Lexington, KY) - The game ball from UK's win over Mississippi State is now in the hands of the family of a four-year-old boy who died after a tragic collision outside last week's game.

Coach Stoops said in his post-game comments Saturday that the ball would be presented to the family this weekend.

Marco Shemwell died one week ago, just two days after being hit by an alleged drunk driver on Cooper Drive during a UK football game.

Shemwell's funeral will take place Monday in Winchester where Coach Stoops, the UK football team, and members of UK Police and UK HealthCare will be honorary pall bearers.
