LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- LMPD says a recent child abduction scare is a hoax.
LMPD says 31 year old Emily Lyons reported that her child was the victim of an attempted abduction at the WalMart at Standiford Plaza last week, taking to social media to talk about the incident. LMPD investigated Lyons' claims and after seeing video footage of the parking lot, determined it was a fake incident, something Lyons admitted to once the detectives confronted her with the video evidence. Lyons is now charged with false reporting of an incident and is due in court next month.
