JCPS Board Votes To Increase Property Tax Rates

(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Taxes are going up for Jefferson County homeowners.

Members of the JCPS Board of Education unanimously voted Tuesday night to raise the property tax rate by three percent.

It's the first time the district has increased property taxes in five years.

District officials hope the increase will generate an additional $20 million dollars annually.
