(Louisville, KY) - Jefferson County Public Schools is preparing another response to a Kentucky Department of Education proposal to avoid a state takeover.
JCPS sent its second counteroffer to KDE officials Tuesday morning. KDE officials say they responded back Tuesday afternoon.
The JCPS Board of Education met again Tuesday evening to prepare its next response with the state takeover hearing scheduled to begin on September 10th.
