LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- LMPD is asking for help to close a hit and run case that left a 12 year old girl dead.
The incident happened May 21 when Laraya Hill was playing in Chickasaw Park when police say she appears to have been hit by a car, fatally injuring her.
LMPD says they have had some tips on the case but nothing that has led them to the driver or the car involved in the incident.
Investigators are not ruling out that it was an accident and the driver involved may not have ever seen Hill since the incident was in the evening hours.
Hill would have started the seventh grade this week.
