(Louisville, KY) - JCPS Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio says sometimes it takes a crisis to achieve something great.
He made the comment during a back-to-school community conversation at the Kentucky Center for African-American Heritage Thursday night.
Pollio acknowledged the district is involved in a lot of "turmoil" right now but said he thinks JCPS will come through it being recognized as one of the best districts in the country.
JCPS is working on a counter offer to the Kentucky Department of Education to avoid a state takeover.
