Accusations Of Sex Abuse Within Explorer Program Date To 2002

(Louisville, KY) - The Louisville Metro Council is releasing more documents in the investigation of the LMPD's youth Explorer program.

The council voted unanimously last night to release the documents that show there were allegations of sexual misconduct within the program dating back to 2002.

The documents released include timelines from the special investigation ordered by Mayor Fischer over allegations of a cover up of abuse by two former officers.

The documents show Metro Police Chief Steve Conrad wasn't made aware of the 2002 case until 2016, however, he was made aware of other accusations in 2013.
