Texas Woman Accused Of Biting Off Woman's Nose, Swallowing it

Jessica Collins

A Texas woman was arrested after she bit off the nose of another woman and swallowed it. The victim, identified by KTRK only as "Tatiana," was unwinding at her home following a night out with her neighbor Jessica Collins when Collins demanded more alcohol and cigarettes. Tatiana, who had never met Collins before going to the bar, told her to leave, sparking a heated argument, which quickly turned violent.

Collins jumped Tatiana, threw her to the ground and bit off a chunk of her nose and swallowed it.

"I didn’t have time to react, to push her away," Tatiana told the KTRK. "I think I was trying to fight back, but I couldn’t.  All I could remember was the taste of blood in my mouth."

She explained that she was in and out of consciousness and did not realize Collins had bitten off her nose until she was on the way to the hospital.

"I started calling my husband when I was in the ambulance," Tatiana said. "I was screaming, like, 'I don't have a nose. I'm 28 years old and I don't have a nose anymore.'"

Tatiana will require major plastic surgery to fix her injuries, but she lacks health insurance.

Collins was arrested and charged with assault-bodily injury.
