LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Ten of the most famous horses in the world are in Louisville this week and they aren't at Churchill Downs.
The Budweiser Clydesdales are in town to be a part of the Pegasus Parade and will also greet fans parking at the Kentucky Expo Center on Derby Day.
The St. Louis-based team spends about 300 days on the road and is one of three Clydesdale teams Budweiser has touring the country.
A team of seven handlers spend five hours getting the horses ready for each appearance, grooming the horses and poshing their 60 pound brass harnesses.
The horses also kept on a strict diet of grain and special hay shipped to each tour stop from Idaho to keep their diet consistent.
Fans with Expo Center parking passes will be able to get up close to the horses Saturday from 11-1 at Barn O behind old Cardinal Stadium.
