FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky's Attorney General is suing yet another opioid distributor in his fight against the drug epidemic.
Andy Beshear announced he was suing Johnson & Johnson and two of its subsidiaries for deceptive marketing of opioid painkillers.
Beshear says the company created a "campaign of misinformation" to mislead patients and doctors about addiction.
To date, Beshear has sued five opioid distributors, saying those companies have supplied Kentucky with 85 percent of its opioid based prescription painkillers.
