Man Shot, Killed By LMPD Officers In PRP

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A man is dead after being shot by police in PRP.

It happened Sunday evening at a home in the 4600 block of Crawford Avenue when officers responded to the report of a disorderly person.

They arrived to find a white man in his 40's and, according to Chief Steve Conrad, became involved in an altercation with the man.

The man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear how many shots were fired.

Conrad is expected to release the identities of the officers involved and the body camera footage at a press conference this afternoon. The identity of the man shot has yet to be released by the coroner’s office.
