Louisville's Basketball Season Ends Following NIT Loss

Louisville's season ended with an thud as they were clobbered by Mississippi State 79-56 in the quarterfinals of the NIT at the KFC Yum! Center.  

The Cardinals shot just 35-percent from the field and 29.2-percent from beyond the arc.  


Ray Spalding paced the team with 13 points and Deng Adel was the only other Louisville player in double figures with 11.  

The Cardinals season ends at 22-14.  Now the attention turns to what is next for the Louisville Basketball program and the future for Interim Head Coach David Padgett.
