LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky coach John Calipari is responding to a report linking a current and former UK players to the college basketball corruption investigation.
The Yahoo! Sports report says current player Kevin Knox and former players Bam Adebayo and Nerlens Noel received financial benefits from a sports agent. The report quotes bank records and court documents.
In a brief news conference to preview Saturday's game against Missouri, Calipari told reporters "I know nothing more than you guys know."
In a written statement, Calipari says he has no relationship with the sports agent named in the report. The coach says he hasn't utilized any agent to provide any financial benefits to players.
UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart says the school has not been contacted by the FBI or NCAA. He says the school will be conducting an internal investigation.
