Marshall Shooting Suspect To Be Tried As Adult

BENTON, Ky. -- The 15-year-old suspect in the Marshall County High School shooting will be tried as an adult.

Prosecutors say they have charged the boy with two counts of murder, and additional assault charges will be filed against him.

Police say the suspect used a handgun to kill two classmates and wound more than a dozen others on Tuesday.   Authorities are not discussing a possible motive for the shooting.

A grand jury will hear the case next month.

Marshall County High School will remain closed on Thursday as police continue their investigation.
