LMPD Says OnStar Led Them To PRP Triple Homicide Suspect

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A call to OnStar helps LMPD find a suspect in a triple homicide.

LMPD says Catherine, Mike and Geneva Miles were all found shot to death in PRP last week, feet away from the room where a four year old boy and two year old girl were in their cribs.

Lt. Emily McKinley says one of the first things they did was to get the kids out of the house without seeing what had happened.

McKinley says they were able to identify 46 year old Christopher Olivo as the shooter and used OnStar to track his car to the Tampa, Florida where he was arrested wearing a ballistic vest. He also had an AK-47 in the car along with the gun used in the homicides.

She says they also located the Olivo's two year old daughter safely in Florida.

LMPD detectives are currently in Florida with Olivo as he awaits extradition back to Louisville where he will face three counts of homicide and a single count of tampering with physical evidence.
