Boucher Pleads Not Guilty in Assault of Sen. Paul

BOWLING GREEN, Ky  --  The man accused of assaulting Sen. Rand Paul last week appears in Warren District Court for his initial appearance on a misdemeanor assault charge.   Dr. Rene Boucher appeared before Judge Brent Potter where Boucher's attorney waived formal reading of the charges and entered a not guilty plea.

The court proceeding last about five minutes.   After entering the not guilty plea, the court set a pretrial conference for Boucher for November 30th.
