Tempers Flare At JCPS Meeting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Several minutes of chaos erupted inside Tuesday evening's JCPS Board of Education meeting.

It started when the board chair refused to hear comment or talk about last week's incident at Jeffersontown High School in which a police officer tackled and tased a student. At one point the board chair adorned the meeting at the advice of security.

The board chair said he wanted to wait until the results of the investigations were complete before addressing it publicly. That's when some frustrated parents stood up and demanded the board address the issue and started chanting. Those parents were then ordered out of the meeting. After a short recess, the board reconvened and finished the meeting without addressing the Jeffersontown incident.

There are currently two investigations into what led to the tackling and tasing of a high school student by a police officer
