LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Louisville Metro Council has begun its trial to determine whether to remove Dan Johnson from office.
Johnson is facing sexual harassment allegations. He's accused of groping a fellow councilwoman and pulling down his pants in front of a council aide in the city hall parking lot.
Johnson's attorney is arguing for a censure, not removal. The attorney for the charging committee says a removal is about restoring public trust in the council.
The Metro Council Court is made up of 19 members and 13 votes are required to remove Johnson.
