LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A warning from RiverLink to 34,000 area drivers: pay up or face a registration suspension.
10 months after collecting the first toll on the east end and downtown bridges, RiverLink says they will place suspensions on vehicle registrations for all past due accounts later this month.
Spokeswoman Mindy Peterson says the 16,000 Indiana drivers and 19,000 in Kentucky have neglected four notices to get to this point, adding additional fees along the way.
Removing the hold simply requires the driver to pay the tolls and fees to RiverLink which will then notify the states to remove the hold.
She says only Indiana and Kentucky drivers face the suspensions but they are working on similar enforcement on out of town drivers who don’t pay
