LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Saturday is George Garvin Brown's birthday...to celebrate the birth of its founder, Brown-Forman is releasing its Old Forester Birthday Bourbon. Its the 16th year for the limited release of this 12 year old bourbon that comes from bourbon that was distilled on May 27th 2005.
Old Forester Master Taster Jackie Zykan says 120 barrels of bourbon were selected 12 years ago to become this year's release to honor Brown's birth. The bourbon was distilled May 27, 2005. Each year's special release is a little different but all have the same Old Forester backbone flavor.
The Birthday Bourbon will be available in select liquor stores in Louisville and across the U-S.
