LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A man is dead after being hit by at least one train in the Clifton neighborhood Sunday night.
LMPD was called to the 2200 block of Frankfort Avenue on a man down and found man dead on the railroad tracks behind that location.
LMPD Spokesman Vadim Dale says witnesses tried to flag down one train before a second actually stopped. Investigators are currently unsure if the man was hit by one or both of the trains.
Dale says they are talking with the restaurants in the area to see if they could identify the man but admits "at this point it’s going to be difficult for anyone to I.D. the subject."
A call to CSX Railroad, the operator of both trains, has not been returned.
