LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville football is heading to camp.
The Cards have opened camp, starting the five week countdown to the opener against Purdue September 2 in Indianapolis. Head coach Bobby Petrino says they've spent a lot of time studying the Boilermakers and first year head coach Jeff Brohm.
Petrino says the plan is to spend the first week installing the playbook before focusing on the battle for starting positions.
He says the team enters camp in "great condition" with a number of players starting the season stronger and faster.
