Frontier Airlines To Give Louisville Another Try

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A low cost airline is giving Louisville a try...again.

Frontier Airlines is planning a return to Louisville International Airport with service to Denver using Airbus A320 jets.

The airline has served Louisville twice before, leaving in 2008 due to bankruptcy and in 2012 when competition forced them out of the market.

Airport Executive Director Skip Miller says Denver and the west coast markets are in high demand for Louisville travelers.

Miller says the airline hasn't told him when flights would start but expects them to be in the spring of 2018.
