UPS Set To Hire 750 For Louisville Area Jobs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- It's Christmas in July at the UPS Worldport.

The shipping giant is looking to hire over 700 part-time employees over the next six weeks to get a jump on their annual hiring rush for the holidays.

The jobs are across all shifts and pay $10.50 an hour with every shift except night side getting a $150 bonus each week.

UPS workforce planning manager Pat Murphy says a lot of the positions will likely be filled by students from U of L or JCTC looking to get their tuition paid by the company.

The company is also offering a new initiative to students from outside the Louisville metro to come work at the Louisville hub while UPS pays both their rent and tuition.
