WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. -- Developers of a life-size Noah's Ark in northern Kentucky say it has been a "phenomenal success."
The Ark Encounter opened in Grant County one year ago this week -- built by the religious group Answers in Genesis. Developers say one million people have visited the attraction in the first year.
They estimate the Ark Encounter has pumped $200 million into the local economy.
Critics maintain the Ark should not have received millions of dollars in tax credits from the state.
