FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Change is in the works for two members of the Kentucky Senate.
Democrat Senator Reggie Thomas of Lexington is eyeing a seat in the U.S. House, announcing he will run for the seat in the Sixth Congressional District currently occupied by Republican Andy Barr. There will also be a change in the leadership structure in the Senate with Senator David Givens' decision to step down from the role as President Pro Tem. Givens will remain in the Senate, saying being in leadership was taking time away from his family.
