FRANKFORT, Ky -- A Louisville-based heating and air conditioning company reaches a settlement with the Attorney General's Office over extended warranties. The settlement with Bryant Heating and Air Conditioning revolves around alleged violations of the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act, specifically regarding complaints about the company's extended warranties on products.
Attorney General Andy Beshear's Office says the settlement affects some 7100 customers who purchased furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, and heat pumps between January 2014 and June 2017. In the settlement, the Attorney General's Office secured more than $500,000 for the state's General Fund.
In a written statement, Beshear says, "I want to commend Bryant for taking responsibility and working with my office to come to a good resolution."
