FRANKFORT, Ky. -- A Kentucky lawmaker is renewing his push to legalize marijuana for medical purposes.
Senator Morgan McGarvey, a Democrat from Louisville, sponsors a bill that would allow doctors to prescribe marijuana for palliative or end of life care.
McGarvey testified before the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare and Family Services.
Marijuana legislation has failed to advance in previous sessions.
