Senator Rand Paul Uninjured in Shooting

WASHINGTON -- Kentucky Senator Rand Paul escapes unharmed when gunfire breaks out at a congressional baseball practice.

The GOP lawmaker was in the outfield when he heard the first shots and then saw House Majority Whip Steve Scalise get hit.

Paul says "50 or 60 shots were fired" and "people were dropping."

Paul says he saw bullets hitting the dirt around him as two Capitol Police officers began returning fire.
