BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- A Bardstown man is identified as the suspect who was shot and killed by police early Monday.
Kentucky State Police say 45-year-old Charles Edgar Mullins was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
Mullins allegedly fired at officers during an attempted traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Louisville.
The chase led to Bardstown, where police say Mullins again fired shots at troopers. That's when police shot and killed Mullins.
Seven officers were involved in the shooting, including four troopers, two Nelson County sheriff's officers and a Bardstown Police officer.
