Former Kentucky U.S. Senator Jim Bunning has died.
Bunning served two terms in the Senate from 1999 to 2011. He also won six terms to the U.S. House in Kentucky's 4th District beginning in 1987.
Before a long political career, Bunning also had an accomplished baseball career playing from 1955 to 1971. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996 after winning 224 games as a pitcher.
Bunning was 85.
